The Knowledge Seeker
Have you ever considered the time investment in some of the world’s greatest achievements?
- It took 26 months to build the Eiffel Tower.
- It took Da Vinci 4 years to paint the Mona Lisa.
- It took Michelangelo 4 years to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
- It took Leo Tolstoy over 6 years to write War and Peace.
- It took around 30 years to build the Great Pyramid.
- It took over 40 years before Beethoven’s Fur Elise was performed.
- It took Noah 100 years to build the ark.
And I get impatient if microwave popcorn takes too long!
Joking aside, I love this list because it reminds me of just what can be accomplished when a person invests time wisely. Time is the one commodity each person gets in equal measure.
As songwriter Chris Rice once wrote, “Every day is a bank account, and time is our currency. No one’s rich, nobody’s poor – we get 24 hours each.”
Yet so many of us don’t invest time wisely.
(above is a repost from John Maxwell, my mentor and coach) I hope you find this inspiring, to develop a life style of being a “KNOWLEDGE SEEKER”
With this in mind if you invest in professional study just once a week for 30 minutes it will compound ( 50 weeks of the year-allowing for your 2 week vacation) This investment will equal to 25 hours, equalling a 3 – 1/2 day work shop.
We all know that the staff room which I refer to as the “Minimum wage room” can be turned into a learning lounge.
A gap in between clients can be turned from down time to productive time. I encourage you to use your time wisely and develop great learning habits. I do believe going ‘slow, steady and consistent’ is the only way to learn and truly master knowledge. Join me today for the very special gift and offer.
