Eyes on Cancer
Please watch this special message from me about Eyes On Cancer.
I wanted to share something with you that is very important to me. My dear friends, Dr. Dean and Jeanne-Braa Foster, have done something amazing! They have traveled all over this nation teaching hairdressers how to recognize the early signs of skin cancer, and now they have created a 30-minute online training course designed just for us hairdressers so that we can gain the lifesaving skill of early skin cancer recognition.
Jeanne Bra-Foster and Robert Cromeans
I was shocked to learn that one person dies every single hour because of skin cancer. I was even more impacted to learn that one out of every five of those deaths happen because the skin cancer was located on the back of the person’s head or neck. As hairdressers, we look at these areas every single day, but the truth is that most of us don’t know what the early signs of skin cancer look like.
The good news is that if skin cancer is recognized early enough, 97% of people who get to the doctor for the proper treatment will be saved! In just 30 minutes you can get this training. For a one-time donation of just $10, you can gain the lifesaving skill of early skin cancer recognition. Please join me by taking the Eyes On Cancer Challenge. Here is what I am asking you to do:
- Enroll in the Eyes On Cancer Certification Course by clicking this link.
- Take The Course, Pass Your Quiz, and Print Your Certificate.
- Post A Selfie with Your Certificate On Social Media and Ask 10 Of Your Friends to Take the Challenge.
In addition, Eyes On Cancer wants to cover the entire globe with skin cancer awareness training, and to do that, they need to raise $50,000 by the end of the year. This will give us them funds for their operating expenses as well as money to fund new courses in different languages. In order to help raise this money, they have chosen to create a Peer To Peer campaign. This is a fundraising strategy that receives money from two types of people – donors and goal setters.
Donors decide a financial amount that they can personally give. Goal setters decide a financial amount that is more than they can give personally and ask friends, family, and colleagues to donate toward their goal. We need both types of supporters to reach our goal of $50,000.
To become a donor, simply click this link.
To become a goal setter, email the following information to email@example.com.
- Your Fundraising Goal.
- Your Photo.
- Your “Why I Set This Goal” Video
Once we receive this information, we will create your Peer To Peer Campaign page and email you the link that you can share on social media and via email to your network. Anyone who clicks that link will be immediately directed to your personal fundraising page. Every dollar donated will be reflected by your fundraising thermometer activity. All that we ask is that you share the page with as many people as you can until you reach your goal.
